Brewery Adds New Outdoor Beer Garden with Food Trucks; Masks Required
Washington, DC — After 15 long months, DC Brau is excited to welcome back visitors to its taproom at the brewery on Bladensburg Road starting Friday, June 11th. In addition to a limited number of tables inside, the brewery is creating an outdoor beer garden in the parking lot between the two silos that will accommodate seating up to 50 visitors at a time. Reservations will be encouraged via Resy, which will go live on June 8th.
“We stayed closed to the public throughout the COVID-19 pandemic to keep production disruptions to a minimum, and really have appreciated the outpouring of support our community showed through online ordering over the past year,” says CEO & co-founder Brandon Skall. “We can’t wait to see everyone back in the taproom drinking our beers and Full Transparency seltzers very soon!”
To begin, the taproom and beer garden will be open on Fridays from 4 to 10pm, Saturdays from noon to 10pm, and on Sundays from noon to 6pm. Curbside pick-up will be available during taproom hours, as well as on Thursdays from noon to 4pm. Delivery will also continue to be available throughout the District and parts of Northern Virginia.
To ensure the safety and wellbeing of our staff and guests, DC Brau will be asking one member of each party to submit contact information for any potential necessary Covid tracking, which can be done with a reservation or via QR Code for walk-ins at the taproom door. Once at the table, guests will be able to order beer to enjoy on site and to go via a posted QR Code system. The front taproom bar will be reserved for To Go pick-ups only. While guests won’t be required to wear masks when seated at their tables, DC Brau does ask that they be worn when staff approaches the table or when moving around the grounds.
As in “pre-pandemic times,” guests are welcome to bring in their own food, and there will be a rotating line-up of food trucks on site on Fridays and Saturdays to enjoy.
