What's HappeningSpend Small Business Saturday with us at the 2019 Brau Holiday Market

October 10, 2019

Saturday, November 30th from 1 to 5pm | Presented by DC Brau & Think Local First DC

Once again on Small Business Saturday, DC Brau Brewing will turn its warehouse into a holiday marketplace as they host the annual Brau Holiday Market along with Think Local First DC from 1pm to 5pm on Saturday, November 30th. Brewery visitors will get the chance to start (and finish) their holiday shopping at more than 40 stalls featuring regionally-made products from some of our favorite craftspeople, while also enjoying great local craft beer, snacks from popular food trucks, and musical entertainment.

“What started off as a way for us to support our friends in the creative community here in DC several years ago has grown into one of our favorite days of the year at the brewery,” says Mari Rodela, DC Brau’s Chief Community and Culture Officer. “DC Brau is all about innovation and community, not to mention great beer, and our Holiday Market celebrates all that and more in one place on Small Business Saturday.”

The 2019 Brau Holiday Market will feature long-time favorites and several new additions to shop, including:

In the spirit of giving, DC Brau is excited to welcome several of its non-profit community partners, including Think Local First DC, the Historic Bladensburg Main Street, and representatives from Krampusnacht DC, to this year’s Holiday Market. Krampus will be on hand for not-so-traditional holiday pictures and to collect unwrapped new toys and gifts, as well as cash donations, for the National Center for Children and Families (NCCF), a 501(c)(3) organization that helps DC foster children up to 21 years old. There will also be a raffle for coveted prizes to raise additional funds for the NCCF.

Shoppers can fuel up with food from Dangerously Delicious, the BBQ Bus, Captain Cookie & the Milkman, Timber Pizza and The Quarterdeck with entertainment by Old Line Audio and 3 Man Soul Machine. DC Brau will be pouring a selection of flagship and rare brews throughout the day at multiple bars, including the release of this year’s edition of Wake Up in the Future barrel-aged Imperial Stout & Stone of Arbroath. Brewery tours will not be available that day due to the Holiday Market, but the tasting room will be open for to-go cans, cases, and cool DC Brau merchandise.

Check in for the Holiday Market will be outside as you make your way down the hill. Please have your photo ID ready to be checked.

The parking lot will not be available during the Holiday Market, as spaces are reserved for vendors, staff & the food trucks. We urge you to consider taking a ride share service & have them drop you off at the top of the drive or use public transportation. Limited parking is available on Bladensburg Road. If you are driving, please designate a sober driver!

Due to expected crowds & the location of the market, we ask that you please leave your pets at home (service animals exempt).

We love seeing the whole family at the brewery! All ages are welcome. Due to crowd size, please consider parking your strollers outside and keep your little ones close.

Yes, there will be cans of Full Transparency available at all four bars for your consumption. We’ll also be pouring Brau Pils, Joint Resolution, The Corruption, Nitro PQP with Coffee, Penn Quarter Porter, Stone of Arbroath, The Wise & The Lovely, Wake Up in the Future, Tuk Tuk, and a few other surprises!

The tasting room will be selling six packs and variety packs of all our current beers and FULL TRANSPARENCY to go throughout the afternoon. Multi-packs are not to be consumed on premise. We will not be filling growlers during the Holiday Market. Thank you!

Don’t feel like beer? We’ll be selling individual cans of our new Full Transparency, as well as non-alcoholic drinks like soda and water at all four bars. The food trucks will also be selling beverages. Speaking of the food trucks, while we’d appreciate you feasting from one of the five trucks parked in the lot during the holiday market, you’re welcome to pack a picnic or bring in food from elsewhere (Roaming Rooster is right upstairs). No outside beer or alcohol is permitted, though.

The market is largely an indoor event, so it will happen RAIN OR SHINE. While we’re hoping for clear skies, please note that the food trucks are located outside, so please dress accordingly for the weather.
