DC Brau Releases New Batch of OTWOA and Two Small-Batch Lagers on October 10th

Washington, DC — DC Brau’s original white whale, On the Wings of Armageddon, returns next Thursday along with the release of two new small-batch one-off lagers in an unprecedented Triple Treat Thursday on October 10th. While Stacked Vote India Pale Lager and Nitro Mocha Pils will solely be available in the District of Columbia, cans and kegs of On the Wings of Armageddon will be appearing on menus and retail shelves throughout DC Brau’s distribution channels along the Northeast Corridor later this month.

“Of all the beers we’ve brewed at DC Brau over the last eight years, On the Wings of Armageddon is hands-down the one we get asked about the most,” says CEO & co-founder Brandon Skall. “We’re excited to bring it back for the season in such wide distribution.”

For the uninitiated, On the Wings of Armageddon is an Imperial IPA unlike any other with a strong bouquet of citrus and grapefruit hints at what is to come as an intense hop character invades the palate with resinous tropical flavors. Light bread and biscuit notes balance the assertive Falconer’s Flight hops for a smooth and refreshingly dry finish, making this brew deceptively easy drinking at 9.2% ABV. Snallygaster attendees will find it on tap next to the barrel-aged Churros for Breakfast in the DC Brau booth on Saturday, October 12th.

Long known for its big, hoppy beers, DC Brau’s Stacked Vote IPL is no exception. This crushable 4.5% ABV India Pale Lager has been triple dry-hopped with Comet and Hallertau Blanc hops resulting in a bright, earthy palate with fruity and herbal notes of lemongrass, citrus and berry. Customers will find packs of the orange-domed cans and on draft around the District at independent craft retailers and bars, in the tasting room at the brewery, as well as at The Salt Line’s 3rd annual Oyster Wars on Sunday, October 13th.

Also coming to a limited number of tap lines around the District next week is an extremely small run of Nitro Mocha Pils. This crisp 4.5% ABV lager is brewed with Hallertau Tradition hops and Barke Pils malts along with cocoa, lactose and Junius cold brew coffee for a smooth and balanced sip carrying a nice mocha finish.

All three new brews will be available in the tap room at DC Brau on Thursday, October 10th starting at 4pm. For the full portfolio of DC Brau beers, visit www.dcbrau.com/beer.
